I live right next to DC, so I know what kind of clothes to bring, but....does anyone know which days you have to dress professionally you do the most walking on? How about the least walking? Thankss!

Here's a sample schedule from 2004. Dress is professional pretty much the whole time (save the arrival, departure, and free time zones).

ya, pretty much you shouldn't wear them at all if they are uncomfortable, but if you must, make sure it isn't the 2nd day, when you visit Capitol Hill, or when you go to the museums, which will most likely be on saturday...other than that you're probably okay, but don't count on your feet being happy with you either way...you will have to do some walking every day....and there are a lot of stairs....everywhere

because the outfit i plan to wear them with is professional, so it seems like a total waste if i don't wear them for one of the days we're required to dress professionally. besides, i have an whole nother outfit planned out for the dinner/dance already Big Grin

I'm going to tell you right now that I came home with blisters all over my feet and those were from heels I wear all the time here. Flats are a must unless you're looking to be in pain.

On another note, girls, bring several pairs of hose. I went through three pairs in the time I was there because you are walking so much that youe wear through the knees and through the souls.
