I have a few questions so if anyone could answer one or all of them that'd be wicked good.
First, when did you recieve your materials, the yes-you're-definitely-in and which one you're going to paper, and any other mailings? Were there any emails about it to let you know faster?
Second, when did you make your travel arrangements? For the $40 shuttle that is mentioned by NYLF, is that through them that you sign up or is it just something that runs normally? If it's through NYLF, how do we sign up for it?
Finally, does anyone have like a packing list? As in, how many of each type of clothes and anything else you should have there? One for girls would be better, but I can adjust. For girls, it keeps mentioning skirts, but I have a ton of professional pants because where I work (at a law office) we obviously have to be in professional attire. This might look like a crazy list, but I'm just kind of curious about these things. Thanks to anyone who answers these!

Hey! What session are you in? I want to meet someone before we go... Haha. I'm in the November 27- Dec 2 one... E.mail me if you are in the same! ment2liv4more6@yahoo.com
well i am going to try to answer your questions as best as i can! on the yes your definitely in you get it in the mail and you dont get it online...as long as you sent the money and registered in time you are pretty much guaranteed they even give extra time for kids so the registration date is like extended a week so it might be awhile before you get your letter but they didnt take that long. i am pretty sure the shutte is not through NYLF and that you take the money and give it to the shuttle people yourself..and all that info comes with the packet of info you get in the mail so that will be clearer when you get that stuff. now the packing list you really dont need to wear skirts you can wear pants and pant suits all week because its actually pretty cold sometimes so yeah you dont have to wear skirts if you wouldnt like to, i would deffinitely make sure you have a heavy jacket for when you go out that is professional but for casual clothes make sure you bring jeans and regular shirts for the nights that you work on your case studies and your allowed to wear whatever you want and make sure you bring a sweatshirt, warm clothes, and maybe a winter coat and maybe even gloves for the night you go to the monuments because the night we went was freezing and we all had gloves on. if you need me to clarify or have any other questions just post them!!! ~Brittany
thanks I actually ended up calling in to check and they told me what session I as in and that I was accepted and such... mainly since I am now on vacation - in Maryland just outsie of DC, actually. It's apparently a drought recently but we finally got rain today (after it reached over 100) I didnt ask how I was nominated but I guess I'll call at some point... Thanks SO much for answering all these :-D

h3y AmY, About shoes... heels aren't recommended (trust me you will understand when you are there). You will be walking quite alot... and that is not an exageration lolz. Due to the walking, and so much going around on buses, and the food schedule, etc. altogether lead to when I returned back home I weighed like 5 pounds less LOl I didn't feel lighter but oh my god really. Just sumthing I decided to share lolz. WEll back to the subject, I myself wore heels on the day of the dinner/dance and besides that I mostly wore flats, trust me I felt very comfortable lolz. This one girl wore heels like every day, and we had to walk up hills and down hills, and she fell alot and her legs hurt after the day. I don't think you want to be in her position lolz. I recommend you to buy low boots and/or dress shoes.

I have a question for anyone who has been there before. I was nominated in 2007 by a teacher but i couldn't afford the fall 2007 session in time. Does anyone know if that nomination can carry over for the 2008 sessions?
