Hey, I just got the invitation in the mail today regarding the National Security Forum.
I'm definitely interested, but what I'd like to know is why I got the invitation in the first place. Was I nominated by one of my teachers? Was it my PSAT score (2000)? My ASVAB score (93)?
And why National Security as opposed to Medicine or Law? The ASVAB I assume?
Anyways, I am very curious. If anyone could fill me in that would be great!
Well i don't really know. It said on the papers that it was my outstanding scores so I'm assuming my ASVAB scores. 93, 95, 92. So I'm not sure, because I don't know anyone who has been. So i know that it wasn't an alumni.
I know I wasn't nomintaed because of my test scores, since I haven't taken them yet. My teacher told me it was because of my involvement in class. So you were probably nominated like David B. said.
I've also been nominated. I was so suprised when i came home and saw my parents reading the letter they sent home. My letter was for National Security. When I read through it, I automatically wanted to be apart of the program. I was also suprised at how expensive it was to have this opportunity. Sadly i dont believe I will be attending because currently we cannot afford it. But to whoever attends let me know how it was.
It's wierd how they don't tell u how u were nominated. seeing as i also haven't taken PSATs or SATs or whatever other test there is. Mi guess is wat chlesea said. involvement in class or guidence couselor. cause mi brother went to one on medicine, so i might be riding his coatails on this one
