Pant suits are perfectly acceptable, as are skirts. Professional attire is expected nearly everyday, so you'll want to mix and match outfits for the greatest efficiency. Log-in the the participants section of the NYLF-DID webpage for more information. You'll need the password to access these pages, I believe.

I figure might as well use this thread instead of starting a new one.
When they say you can wear a military uniform, as long as it's not casual dress. Does that mean it has to have a tie? Because with the Navy JROTC's summer blue uniform, there isn't a tie, or even a collar button, but it is considered a dress uniform. Would it be acceptable?
If you do indeed decide to wear your JROTC uniform, the model chosen should reflect the professional civilian attire standards established on the previously noted website. Obviously, I'm not saying this to be mean, but I just want you to be able to fit in.
Maybe if you have a picture of the uniform in question, Epeyon, I can tell you specifically if it would agree with the NYLF standards.

I suggest you wear professional civilian attire or the JROTC uniform most similar to that (coat, tie, white button up shirt). Keep on with the questions!

The female AFJROTC uniform looks like a ladies business suit. The skirt reaches the knees. Is that long enough? Also, are there a lot of people wearing JROTC uniforms?
you said 25 in a group, how are the groups defined? is your group chosen because of the sites that you will be visiting, or is it random? same question concerning roommates
In 2004, the groups and roommates were determined by last names, so I assume it will be the same this year. 25 is a rough estimate, by the way, so don't hold me to that.

When I went earlier this year, the roommates were placed by time of arrival. First come first serve really. I just lucked out and got in late so I was placed in a room with only one other person. ^_^
I just got back from a forum and room assignments were based on your time of arrival just like "freeway" said. i got there first along with my two other roommates and we got the suite
The JROTC uniform is going to be full service dress. This means tie/tab, hat, service coat, and coards if your unit uses them. I did not end up wearing mine because i had alread bought professional attire but wished i had once i was there.
