2006 Spring DID Attendee |
Hey-
We've pretty well confirmed that you can wear your JROTC uniform, but I've been wondering, I'm also in the Police Explorers with one of the cities' dept. Anyone in that? Anyone ever wore there uniform? Hmm... I would imagine that if the uniform is comparable to your JROTC uniform, it will be fine. I believe an individual wore his fire department uniform to NYLF 2004, but I may be wrong in that.
Go for it. |

Yea...its just a cadet version of the cities PD uniforms...similar to the JROTC uniform=Active Duty.
*if we get them by then (were only a few months old as a post) I just may wear it up there for a day. Thanks Don c/1LT Don Webb, AFJROTC QmSgt, Police Explorers ----------------- www.xanga.com/commadaunt Political Compass: Economic Left/Right: 1.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.41 Less government is better goverenment. |

As long as it's a formal uniform then it's not a problem at all.

We don't get formal stuff. Its similar to a normal police uniform that they'd wear on the beat.

I was going to bring my uniform to, but I didn't know if we could wear them. I have been in Explorers for 3 years now.

Uniforms are fine if they meet normal professional attire standards, basically.

My advice? Leave your uniform at home. Especially if its an Explorer uni. For kids who go to military-focused schools, it's okay I suppose, but in general uniforms make you look like a tool.
JROTC is not real military. Explorers are not cops. FD cadets are not real firefighters. Cadet EMTs ARE REAL EMTs, and none of us wore our dress blues. |
