I don't know what to wear! I know they said for girls to wear suits and stuff, but I don't really have very many, actually none, so what else can we wear? I have some nice dresses that I think would be alright, but if it's going to be cold I think I might die.
It really depends on when you're going. I went in October and it was actually pretty nice (granted, as I'm a male, I was wearing a dress shirt and sportcoat for most of the time, but many of the girls I was with had dresses/skirts and dress shirts/etc.). As the forum approaches, keep an eye on the weather in D.C., and adjust as needed. Besides suits, you could probably pull off a dressy skirt/dress shirt, or something like that (I wish I could help more, but again, it was kinda easy for guys...ties and sportcoats don't change a whole lot lol).

The temprature isnt bad in the fall or spring although I'd check the local weather a week before to make sure because dc can be cold sometimes. I didnt have any suits or anything either, so as long as you have dresses or skirts with nice shirts don't worry. Make sure you bring a sweater or dress coat because no sleevless or tank tops are allowed. You'll probably be doing a lot of walking, so bring comfy, but nice, shoes. I thought about what looked nice and brought flats and heels, and I ended up with blisters so buy some of those really ugly "supportive" granny shoes, that look formal.

so for guys is it strictly suits, or is casual wear allowed?
Swmo: For the most part, it's almost totally suits OR dress shirt/sportcoat. There are certain days where casual (as in T-shirt and jeans) is allowed, but you'll learn more about when that is at the forum. As its a five or six day seminar, I'd definitely plan on having at least a bare minimum of six shirts/ties/dress pants or suits. More is helpful in case something gets dirty or whatever...but that's at your discretion. Hope that helps
