I live right by LAX so I don't have to fly there. but i'm sorry you guys do (sooo much time in an airplane. anywyas I don't want to not know anyone on this flight so I'm definetly keeping up with the message boards now. oh, hannah, I guess a happy birthday is in order? I like to go to the beach(i live right by it) and hang out with friends. I love music too! oh and I think it is really cool that I get to meet people from other states (I've never been to the midwest or really on the east coast). I'm so excited!

hey everyone. Ok so I wanted to clarify something. I thought this was like a hands on learning trip at first and then I found out from our packets n stuff that it is business and we have to dress like business formal and we can only wear jeans like 3 days out of the whole trip. Does anyone know anything about this dress code. Oh and I was unaware until recently that it is their winter in June so it is somewhat cold? Hopefully you guys are all knowing cause I wanna know what you all are wearing. Help! But on a less shrill note I am really into rediscovering all the good old music from like the 90's and early 2000's. Currently I can't stop listening to Matchbox Twenty. Anyone else a Rob Thomas fan? I wanna know if I would wanna switch ipods for like a hour on the plane lurking other people's songs. lol. oh and get this right when I get back from this trip I go to take my driver's license test. Think they'll let me practice in australia?

The same thing happened to me i didn't know we had to wear professinal and business clothes. and then i found out that it would be winter over there while it would be summer over here. if you login to the iylf sight and type in your password their will be a section called general preparation. just click on the dress code and it will tell you what you can't and can wear. I have heard of rob thomas and listened to a few of his songs and he is good. Ha Ha if they let you pratice take me with you, i'm getting my permit soon.

To quote the movie Juno, "Wow dream big." Fat chance they'll let ME drive, but we'll go steal a golfcart or something k? Anyways has everyone got cool ideas of what to do on the plane? I mean we could probably spend a good couple hours just getting to know eachother but Australia is a long flight and when I say long I mean long. The longest flight I've been on is to Hawaii (5hours from where I live). Hey I should have stopped by and said hi to Leilani

Wow. I've really been missing out on the message boards. For a while I was the only one on here. It's so great to hear from REAL people. I don't know about you guys, but I've decided that this program is kind of sketchy. They didn't have any type of interview before we were accepted, and we aren't even required to do assignments before we leave. Anyway...I'm still excited to be going. I'm gonna be in the environmental forum, as well as the add-on. To answer some questions I saw come up, yes it should be a little cold (depending on where you're from-in NH mid-40's is warm). it'll be warmer in the north, if you're on the add-on. It's great to be able to talk to humans!
Punks win.
