I'm shadowing one of our Emergency Room doctors next Thursday! I'm looking forward to that.

I'm interested in:

-ER Physician
-Neurosurgeon
-Neurologist
-Pathologist
-And possibly Radiologist, though that's not hands on enough for my tastes

Hey Parker!
It's nice to see that someone else wants to go into orthopedic surgery (until I saw your post, I thought I was the only one interested in pursuing that specialty). What makes you want to go into that particular specialty? It's also cool that we live relatively close to each other (Winchester is about 60 miles from McLean, I think). Where and which session are you going to attend?

Personally, I live about an hour away from Fredericksburg, but I live less than 15 minutes from D.C. Have you been to Fredericksburg? I love it! It's so "cozy," kind of like Williamsburg, but less overt about the colonial history than Williamsburg. Do you live near a town called Leonia and/or Ocean City. I go to those two places a lot (my Dad's from Leonia and he can't resist being from Jersey too long Wink).

My mom has a friend from fredericksburg, her two sons would do anything for me, if i told them to jump off the roof they' d do it lol!. They are coming back up this summer, when i get out of NYLF. Her boys dont know yet so, they'll be excited cause its been three years since they've seen me where as their mom just came up last week.

Ocean City is about 2 hours (100 miles) from my house, and Leonia is about an hour (50 Miles). My dad works close to Leonia about 20 miles from his job to there.

Stacy: That's really cool! I'm happy that you get to see them this summer Smile ... I hate when I don't see my relatives for extended periods of time.

Aldi: I love Williamsburg! It's very cozy and quaint. Even though some people say it gets dull after a day or two, I wouldn't mind living there because everyday feels like you time traveled and are walking in history. You actually can experience the past with modern day commodities like indoor plumbing Wink lol

Yeah, sadly though a lot of things are expensive in Williamsburg, but generally the money goes towards restoring and maintaining the historic sites, so I don't feel completely bad when I splurge there... but it is a good idea to save a little before you go there. I'm sorry you didn't get a souvenir Frown ! Now you have a reason to come back though Wink.

about a year ago, my nephew was diagnosed with hyperinsulinism, a rare disorder of the pancreas. Before then I didn't know what an endocrinologist was, but after talking with his doctor I found out that there are very few pediatric endocrinologists, and most of them are in Philadelphia, so we could use one down here.
