I know this has been discused before but how much money should i be bringing? I am going to to houston 19-28. I thought I would bring 100 for food and around 300-400 for everything else...is that reasonable? I was just wondering if anyone had any idea...

i going to new orleans 17-26 and i am bring 300 and a credit card. i thought if i run out of money i can always use the card.

i went to atlanta and brought 100 for food (had lots left over) and a credit card for everything else (shopping and souvenirs and stuff) and and atm in case i needed cash (which i didnt).

does anyone ever bring travelers checks?
