Hello all, I just received my packet yesterday and decided to check out this community. I would like to extend my greetings to everyone here participating in the Med NYLF 2005. The lack of replies for this particular 2005 Med Intro discussion isn't very exciting; I hope many of the participants receive word of this online community so we can get some good discussions going!

The only one I know of is in June. Nice to meet you, my name is Aman. Longest I've been away is a week with a bunch of friends, I'm thinking this is going to be loads of fun based off of all the comments I've seen around this forum.

Well if there are two different ones, then I'm going to the 19-28 one as well. Ya I guess you're right about the comfort zone thing; it becomes a totally different experience when you know absolutely nobody.

I used to play football, but now I've moved into enginnering clubs and physics stuff. I've gone to a science bowl where you have teams of 4 people and answer science related questions. My dad is a doctor so he has pushed me towards the med field, which I find interesting. I still don't know if I will become a doctor though. What about you?

Ya, I've been busy with a bunch of testing and projects lately. I've also been watching the Phoenix Suns take the number 1 seed in the west!!! It would be great to see a championship run this year around.

Hey...it's Mady...sorry it took me so long to respond...like everyone else I have been extremely busy!
I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina...I am in 10th grade at West Lincoln High School...small school...but you gotta love your friends!
I have always wanted to work in the medical field...hopefully a physician's assistant! Everyone asks why I chose Phoenix...since it was so far away...I really don't know!
I enjoy playing volleyball and riding horses!
I am really looking forward to the forum this summer! really don';t know quite what to expect! Hope to talk to ya'll soon!

I have yet to turn in the method of transportation paper. I don't see why they need a time of arrival if they're giving a window of time for checking-in. I think all the med forums are "small" when compared to the tech forums.
