HA, top this...I have to write a 5 pg paper, do a 20 minute power point presentation, finish outlining the first three chapters of my history textbook, write a DBQ, answer questions for chapters 2 and 3 in essay form, and read another book...all in one week!

lol, sounds familiar. AP US, right? I did that last year. Every weekend we'd have to summarize another chapter. it took me 10 hours to do it. 10 HOURS!!! no sunday football for me that year lol

yep, howd you guess? Big Grin Razz My teacher says we'll probably have to outline a chapter every night...seriously thinking about dropping out and taking US II Honors but I know that the academies are looking for students who take the hardest courses.

Noway, you should definitely stick with it. It might seem horribly tough today, but it will pay off when you get a good score on the exam (i got a 4)

Are we talking AP US History? I hated that class (did it last year too). I'm convinced my teacher was on speed. I got a 4 on the test too, and I had though I'd failed. I was hoping for an essay question on Colonialism, but instead we got landed with a populist question that I made up the entire thing for.

So good luck with that Kathryn.

oh yeah, that one about the farmers and junk. Man, i just made up some stuff on that, but i guess i did ok if i got a 4. i tell ya, all that mind-numbing work pays off if it helps you get rid of a history requirement, saving you course and book money

that would be nice, except that I'm not sure the places I want to go for college accept them for credit. They only help me get in (not that that's a bad thing).

thanks everyone, ill need it! I actually finished my 5 page paper last night...up till 11 but oh well. Unfortunately the first half of my school year is gonna suck majorly (we have block scheduling) so I have Chemistry, Trig., AP HIstory, and French III. PLus I have this trip and IM drum major for my school's band so thats like triple the responsibility. UNfortunately, I had to give up XC. So that will be a lot of stress but in the end it will be worth it. Was the AP exam hard?

I wont lie, the DBQ's were hard. You really gotta remember everything, because they might get you one on some obscure topic you thought they would never ask you about. Get
"5 steps to a 5." Its a great study guide. Id recommend getting it a month or two before the exam, and just highlighting and studying a chapter in it once every other night.

Your right Dan, about getting a study book, but I'd do it before the class starts. It helps with the class in general, I though.
I've already got the ones that I need for this year, and I've determined that I'm going to die several times before May.
