Which part of Spain? Yeah, I actually live here... I've lived in Europe for seven years now. I was born in Texas (although I only lived there when I was really little) and my parents are born and bred Texans and that's where I claim home back in the states, so it's more up to y'all to decide if I'm "really from Texas" or not. Haha... My last name starts with a T... looks like I might have found some room mates! Can't wait to see y'all! One week! Ciao ~ Rachel

I'm not sure if we need one or not.

You live in Oklahoma City?
My whole family lives in Oklahoma. But they live in podunk. Ya know, McAlester/Krebs and the sort.
Good luck with that drive.
I'm just flying down on Sunday, even though it would only be a five hour drive (from Dallas). But my parents don't want to drive down there.

...I still have no shoes.

I love going to Krebs to eat at this Italian place. That is deffinately not podunk compared to where I used to live.
Lucky! I've never been on a commercial plane before, just a 4 seater and a private jet, so I would've flown but I didn't want to by myself.
Besides my parents want to take a vacation so we are leaving early and driving down there.

...Good luck finding those shoes!

Really? Which Italian place do you eat at?
Isle of Capri is really good, and Rosanna's (but I thik that's in McAlester).
Private jet sounds cool. The last time I was on a plane was a couple of summers ago, but I've never flown by myself, I'm usually with a group.

Yah, I'm shoe shopping today, thanks for the luck, I'll need it.

Are you all ready?

Wow ya'll. 4 days. Big Grin I don't think I could get any more excited. I still can't find a pair of white shoes, and it's coming down to the wire. Other than that, I've already started packing. I have no idea how I'm going to stuff everything into a couple of suitcases! Eek

4 dayssss!

I couldn't find any white shoes, so I bought shoes in a color that matched my shirt. That's the easy way out. Razz

I said I would get there at 3. Of course, that depends on Houston traffic. Smile

I have a ton of white clothes, and an all-white outfit. So it looks like I have some more last-minute shopping to do. Fortunately, I was able to find black, brown, and tan shoes already.

I'm scheduled to arrive in Houston at 1:25, but with wonderful Florida/Gulf of Mexico weather, it could be any time. Roll Eyes

But, I am so pumped for this. I can't waitttt.
I was so happy to learn that our hotel actualy has a Starbuck's in it! SmileI live in the boondocks here, so we don't have a Starbucks (or any coffee place, for that matter) within 50 miles of us. Frown As a coffee and frappuchino addict, I highly dissaprove of this.

Alright, enough whining about how pathetic my town is.

4 Days. Big Grin

I canNOT find black shoes. I'm only going to have two pairs of shoes, oh well. I'm trying again tomorrow.

My flight leaves DFW at 135 I think? So I should arrive in Houston around 245-3.

All of my outfits are hardly professional looking, I'm not good at this.

having done this once before, the best advice I can provide is wear comfortable shoes! it's even better if they're already broken in when you get there because mine were comfortable last year, but I hadn't really worn them and was not EVEN prepared for the amount of walking we did. Sooo, I suggest a good band-aid kit and comfortable shoes...the girls with bcbg stilettos looked cute as **** but they were dying after the first day...good luck and maybe see some of you in a few days!

hey

I can't believe it took the 4th of J fireworks to make me realize I was actually going to this thing.

Iowa's pretty far from Houston, hah.

My suit jackets are brown/light blue, and I've only got black slacks...

Do you think i'll be kicked out for wearing non-matching proffessional attire?

I'm sure there ARE guys, they just don't bother to try and meet people beforehand.
But right now it looks like it's just you and that "AD+" kid.

--btw everyone, I'm a girl. (in case the name threw you off). But I figure my talking about shoes and stuff would clue you in on that.

I keep forgetting how soon this is! And then I realize that if I don't start packing almost immediately, I will have to stay up nearly all Saturday night trying to figure out how to fit everything into as few bags as possible.

I'm just glad that apparently we only need close-toe/heel shoes three times. That is a major relief.
