Welcome Natalie! Hey Leah, what part of Pittsburgh are you from? Has anyone been to Washington DC before or is this your first time?

I went to DC three years ago for a week over the 4th of July, so I guess I'll be there over the same time period. Does anyone know what the temperature is supposed to be like? When I was there 3 years ago, I was told it was cooler than normal. I know it's very humid (icky), so that'll suck.

I would imagine that we would be walking a lot on the days that we go sight seeing. We may even walk alot on site visits and stuff. I don't know for sure though.

You walk a ton. On site visits, on site seeing days, and on campus.

Yes, although one of them I believe you are back in professional dress in the evening. But when you're actually sight seeing, you will be casual

I've been to DC multiple times, because I live like two hours away, if that. COMFORTABLE SHOES. It's always humid. 70s to high 80s is the usual temp.

Hey Sorry I've been gone for the weekend. I live north of Pittsburgh in the suburbs. Been to D.C. alot too. It's really cool and lots of stuff to see. I'm a little worried about the walking too.. . I have to find some comfortable shoes that look OK with skirts. Haha It's kinda funny that all the ppl talking on these forums are girls. I guess thats just how it goes.

I am and Liz is. But I'm only a couple hours away so it won't be that bad. DC's not bad temp-wise. It is humid though, it's always humid here. Humidity and my hair do not mix at all so it should be interesting lol.

Hey my name is Jen and I'm going to session 1 at Georgetown. I live twenty minutes from DC. The weather is typically very hot and humid in the summer. Bring plenty of short sleeve shirts and comfortable shoes. D.C. always entails plenty of walking.

Wow! Everyone is driving! See, if I drove from Arizona, it would be a week-long road trip and I really don't like long car rides lol! My flight gets in at 2 something in the afternoon. I flying into Baltimore and I'm going to do the whole shuttle service thing. I hate humidity too (my hair hates it even more), but if it's 70 or 80 degrees, I can handle it. Here, in AZ, it's 120 degrees during the summer, so I'm looking forward to the cool weather and maybe even a little rain! Yay! It rained last time I was in DC. Did you guys notice that the shoes that are comfortable for walking in are totally old lady shoes (for lack of a better term)? All of the cute shoes KILL my feet. I'm a flip-flops girl so closed toe and closed heel shoes aren't my style. I'm sure you all can relate. I've gotta get some sleep! ttyl
