I seem to be tailing Ryan's approach on helping with questions because I went to DC 1 too! It's okay to be nervous, everyone is but don't worry because everyone is in the same boat so everyone is extremely friendly. Your MED group will become like your family and even in elevators you're going to strike up conversations with people! It's extremely nice and the dorms are pretty good if you're considering that they are in fact dorms lol.

Everyone seems to helpful here =]

So i guess i have a couple of questions to ask the people who went already.
1. Did you bring a Laptop?
2. If you did, were you able to reach internet?
3. If not, did you know people who brought laptops and whether they were able to reach internet or not?

(I've got some school assignments to do and i was curious will the internet be of reach to me from the dorms)

Thank you in advance!! Big Grin

The alumnis and the staff said it can range from having 1 roomie to having 3... so 2-4 people in a dorm room. It's all random.

You only have one roommate at DC and the room is pretty big so even if you don't get along you'll be okay. I didn't bring a laptop but in the common eating area I do think we had access to computers and enough people brought them that you would be able to hook up with them to use theirs I think. I think ethernet cord was needed for internet and you can buy one there if you don't bring them. Again, you're pretty busy all the time and you're pretty tired at night so I wouldn't count on doing too much work there because you want to be able to fully enjoy the NYLF experience too!

I think the booklet was about right. Everyone is forced to repeat outfits or some forms of outfits anyways, so don't worry about re using the same ones. No one remembers. lol

Hey, everyone. My name is Amanda, and I got home from DC session 2 today. Prior to attending, I was very nervous because I had no idea what to expect during this Forum. However, it turned out to be the greatest 10 days of my life. I met some amazing people in my group who I will remember and keep in touch with. You all are in store for an AMAZING time, so cherish each day and have fun!!
