I do hiphop through a dance studio in my town, and also ballet, but it's been a few years since I did that through a studio. So I'm pretty sure that next year I'm starting back up with ballet and maybe some tap, just because I think that'd be fun to have that in my background as well. And supposedly our school is starting a dance team this coming year, so that's going to be a goal of mine.

Well, I started when I was 4 or 5 I believe, and I'm 17 now, so 12 or 13 years on ballet. Up until now, I've been open, because I have really weak ankles, so I haven't been able to do pointe, but I plan on doing dance in college, and hopefully I'll be able to move up to pointe. Midwest School of Ballet is where I go. Yeah, I know how it is with mean teachers, the girl that does hiphop at MSB is pretty cranky sometimes, and makes it not fun. Ah well, I deal, and I guess I'll continue to. Roll Eyes

wow you've done ballet for a while... im surprised though that they never made you go on pointe. i've taken ballet since i was 2... so 14 years last april. you should pursue dance in college if you really like it, there are so many opportunities in the dance world... it's just an extremely competitive field. i've never heard of the midwest school of ballet. i assume you don't live in florida. and as for mean teachers... i have never not liked any of my dance teachers ever because i know if they were strict, it meaned they cared and they knew i had potential. but my magnet teacher last year was just plain rude... she would come in everyday and have a bad attitude and curse and scream at us all the time for dumb things. she was just terrible... i have dealt with manyyyyyy strict teachers but she wasnt strict she was just angry at everything. i remember she kicked the speaker one time because it wouldn't work lol... sounds funny when you think about it, but at the time we were all freaked out... so yea. i think i've scared you enough for one day lol... so what forum are you going to? oh and we came to find out the speaker came unplugged haha... it was funny once we walked out of the class...

I'm not doing ballet through the studio right now, I had to take a year off, and as of now, I'm just doing stuff independently. So when I start back up with that, I should be on pointe..they said so anyway. Strict teachers, yeah, I understand that, but Jessica was not strict, she was nuts! lol. She was very critical of people outside of dancing, that's what bothers me about her. I live in Ohio, so it makes sense that you've never heard of it. lol. Nice on the speaker, the story made me chuckle. I'm going to first session Philadelphia, so next week. I'm so excited. Big Grin How about yourself?
