I'm not in school at the moment, summer started for me may 21st, that's probably the only good thing about being in the south Big Grin With the test, I have no clue when I'll be getting it.

a TB test isn't like a shot they dont like stab the needle through your arm its a really short needle and they barely stick it in i thought it hurt way less then those pin pricks i've had 2 and mine never burned either which i thought was weird it is way better then a shot any day in my opinion!

Do they stick it in through your wrist? And it goes under the skin?

I just got mine today. At this point it's really just a little reddish purplish dot...hopefully it stays that way.

Also, instead of filling out the vaccine form, my doctor just attached a copy of my immunization record. Any idea if this is sufficient?

Just a clarification, the TB test doesn't actually prevent TB, it just tests for it.

And if you want to do anything in a hospital (or medical in general) setting, you will most likely need to get tested yearly. But like everyone's been saying, it's not a big deal at all- I volunteer at these two hospitals over the summer, so I've had to get it before.

the TB test isn't that bad. the day i got mine i got the HPV shot thingy and a bit before that i got a flu shot. and a few weeks latBer i had local anesthetic and i must say the TB thing was the least painful and the local the most so don't worry about it. and i hate shots of all kinds

I have volunteered at two different programs and i tried to pick the most exciting place...so both times i worked in the ER and it was SOOOOOOO boring occasionly the doc would let me observe stuff but even that was rare i stocked carts and rooms answered call button calls and ran labs etc and that all took all of five minutes its good for like college applications but in all other aspects it is sooo boring!(at least in my expirence)

Oh wow, well, hopefully when I try it, it won't be so bad of an experience. My grandma works as a nurse so I plan on her refering me to the hospital she works at.
