Thank you Robert and Tatapalooza, I'll be sure to look into some of those schools. You helped a bunch!Smile

Wow, cardiac surgeons and neurosurgeons! 2 jobs I could never do, though, because my hands get spastic when it comes to things like that, lol. You'll both probably be great, though. And Sarah's another Atlanta session 2 person!!! Hope to see you there!Big Grin

I'm going to be a sophmore next year, but I already know what I want, which is more than some people can say.
I want to be a surgeon, either cardiothoracic or neuro. I have no idea where I want to go for Pre-Med, but I'm thinking Vanderbilt or Johns Hopkins for Med School.
Does anyone have any advice for me about Pre-Med? It's been really frustrating for me.

I am planning on going to a Christian college, (like Pensacola Christian in FL. or Bob Jones Univeristy in Greenville, SC) to study pre-med or nursing. I'd like to work in ICU, pediatrics, or overseas medical missions. If I go on to be a doctor I'd like to study at UNC Chapel Hill in NC. Big Grin

I am going to Miami Dade College on a full scholarship as a biology major, then transfer to whatever university gives me a better deal. As for medical school, my best bet will probably be either FIU's new college of medicine or FSU. I am either going to specialize in oncology, neurology, cardiology, or endocrinology.

I want into the surgical field. I just haven't decided if I want to specialize in cardio or neuro. My top 2 schools are Northwestern and Loyola, but I don't graduate til 2011 so I've got some time.

Hey my name is Corbin, I graduate in 2010. After graduation I plan to attend college and obtain my bachelors degree in science at the University of South Carolina (USC) or the College of Charleston (COC) my intended major at this point in time is Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I also plan to enroll in the pre-professional program known as pre-med. After my undergraduate studies and I plan to attend medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) or The University of South Carolina School of Medicine (USCSM) to obtain a degree as a medical doctor (M.D.) and, also get my masters in public health (MPH). After finishing medical school I plan to go into a residency program in either anesthesiology or surgery. In either event I will be specializing in a sub-specialty if I choose anesthesiology I will be specializing in pediatric anesthesia, if I choose surgery I will be specializing in cardio thoracic surgery.
