I'm going to DC session one. what about you? ya I am in my 2 and 1/2 year of sports med...i took an intro class in 8th grade for a semester, then last year, and this year. I will have 4 and 1/2 years by the time I graduate. plus by lab hours....everyday after school basically.

We help athletes. We do rehab before and after practice and any treatment that needs to be done. We tape injuries and monitor games and practices in case somethings happens. If it does we do our best to help the situation and get the athlete back to playing as soon as possible. If you have any specific questions let me know.

That sounds really cool. I wish my school had something like that! My friend and I are starting a Medical Science Club this spring, and maybe we can eventually start a Sports Medicine Program within the club, but that's a whole other project...

hey! so i'm definitely thinking about doing sports medicine or pediatrics or both? im currently a student athletic trainer but i'd never do that seeing what our head trainers go through...but i think it's soo exciting and amazing to be at the sidelines and always being on ur feet ready for whatever could happen...pretty much my favorite part... oh, and idk about your schools, but we deal with hydration so free gatorade is always a plus =] Merril [[chicago session one]] GO FREUD!!

Yes, I'm in the Sports med program at school, and I absolutely LOVE it. I either want to do Physical Therapy of Athletic Training when I get out of school.
