Amanda: I know! I was so sad. =[ I loved Tonks and Lupin. And they'd just had a kid! And Fred! I literally gave myself a migraine from reading for so long.

Jessandracrouton:Yeah! I I know! But like my favorite part of the book was the epilogue. I thought it was so sweet.

Amanda: I thought the epilogue was alright, it seemed a bit too happy after the rest of it, but I liked it. It was sweet how he named his kids (but I feel bad for Albus Severus... talk about a crappy name Wink)

And you can just call me Jess.

Jess: Yeah poor guy. I can imagine how much the other kids would make fun of him. So what other books do you like?

Amanda: Yeah, really. I'll read basically anything, but I'm not too big on scifi. I really loved Gone With the Wind, and also anything by Stephen King, Sarah Dessen, or Maureen Johnson. Looking for Alaska, Secret Life of Bees, and My Sister's Keeper are some other ones. You?

Amanda: Yeah, I do the same thing with friends, we trade books and music all the time. Right now (as in in between posting things and doing other stuff) I'm reading "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
And I've heard Nicholas Sparks is good. I'll have to read something by him.

I would guess that's because books with sad themes tend to make you feel something and look at something in life a different way. For this reason, I love Jodi Picoult's "My Sister's Keeper" and "The Tenth Circle". I also have "Picture Perfect" and "Nineteen Minutes" but haven't had a chance to read them yet.

Yeah I really like sad books too. I read the Notebook a few days ago and I loved it! I also read a Walk to Remember a couple of days ago. They were both great

I've read them. I love the first one, not a big fan of the second, but I really liked the third as well. I have to say, I love Alice and Jasper. Smile

The first book was my favorite. I like Alice and Jasper too, but my favorite character is Edward. I can't wait for her next book to come out!

Anybody else into the true classics? I just finished Kafka's "Metamorphosis" and Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina" I think my favorite book of all time is Gunther's "Death be not proud." Although, I've got this bad habit of starting like 5 books at once and then taking a year to finish all of them. Then by the time I get back to the first book i started, I've forgotten everything I've read and I have to start all over. I'm on my third try with Trumbo's "Johnny Got His Gun" right now. Can anybody relate?

I've never read any of the true classics. I recently read Emma by Jane Austen but that's probably the oldest book that I've read in a while.
