Not sure what qualifies as a true classic. I've read "The Scarlet Letter", "Gone With the Wind", and "The Catcher in the Rye" but I'm not sure if that's what you mean?

Yupp, all of those qualify as true classics to me. I love old books like that.

Yeah I haven't read very many true classics, but i'd like to sometime soon. Right now I'm pretty busy with school and I'm trying out for colorguard. But once summer gets here I am definitely going to catch up on my reading. Like during spring brek I read like 5 books.

I read "The Catcher in the Rye" for school and didn't really care for it. I thought that it was alittle messed up.
Has anyone every read "The Secret Life of Bees" or "Beans Trees"? If you haven't I would recommend them.
Cool

Never read "Beans Trees", but I loved the Secret Life of Bees, it's an amazing book.

I burn through books like crazy, it's annoying as it defeats the purpose of buying books sometimes. Anyway, stuff I've finished recently would be Pucker, New Moon, Icy Sparks, I Am The Messenger, An Antic Disposition, Valley of the Wolves, things like that.

You guys read all the same books I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED TWILIGHT!!! The fourth (and last *cry*) book comes out August 2nd and I already pre-ordered it!!!!! I loved the first and the third but the second was a little depressing. Also I LOVE the Harry Potters and I also loved the Sarah Dessen books. "Just Listen" was my favorite. Now I'm reading "Beach Blondes" by Kristina Applegate. It's pretty good but not like a "deep" read or anything. Just for fun. I've read some classics, Great Expectations, and stuff like that. By the way my name is Jess.
I LOVE TWILIGHT!

Yeah, you'll start to feel a "GRUGH does it go back to normal yet?", but it does. And afterwards it won't seem so bad because I grew to like Jacob after his story-time (Edward fan, though), so you'll feel sympathy for the little guy by the end.

I wanted more Edward-time, but hopefully next book!

Right now I'm reading The Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert. It's the only really good sci-fi series I have ever read. I haven't been able to put it down. I'm on the third book now.

I also just finished This is All: the Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn by Aidan Chambers, and that was really good too. It's the most bipolar book I have ever read in that it is simultaneously terrifying and hilarious. It's like 800 pages though.

Smile

Um, it picks up towards the end, but most of New Moon is pretty...dull unless you're a huge Jacob fan. Eclipse gets better though, but in my opinion (and mine alone) the first was the best, but Eclipse is worth reading.

Jess: Ugh, Scarlet Letter made me want to die... I think that was the most boring book I've ever read. Gone With the Wind and Catcher in the Rye are both really good though.

I usually don't read too many novels, I'm much more interested in nonfiction, like biographies and histories. And I'll admit, science books. I'm reading the Feynman Lectures right now.

The best novel I've read in a while was 1984. It's kinda scary when you think about it.
