I had the same thing last week. We had no full day of school. So, how is everyone's personal life going?

You guys basically suck, we had one day off this week because of president's day, and that's it. But I'm enjoying the sun we're having here, we have had too much cold weather lately. Personal life, personal life, I don't really have one, haha I work too much. No I'm actually pretty busy looking at colleges and stuff like that. What about everyone else?

Haha yeah I was getting pretty tired of it, that's for sure.

Yikes Heather, foot surgery, that must have sucked, but it's cool that you're gonna play lacrosse, I've never played, or even been to a game, but the people I know that play it really love it.

Brent, very cool about guitar. My friend knows how to play, and she teaches me every once in a while, but I'm not too great at it. And I could never do track and field, I'm not big into the whole running thing, haha.

Hi, Caitlyn, nice to see you join our conversation. Sorry, but I'm not a session 2er, I'm going on session 3.

Denny, a PA is a physician's assistant. When the doctor is not here, the PA is taking his place.

Denny: im not considering being a PA, but my dad is one. he does clinic, where he sees and diagnoses some of his own patients, and he asists an orthopaedic surgeon in surgerys. so he specializes in ortho and helps in surgeries such as hip replacements, knee surgeries and basically just other bone repair/fracture stuff. and hes also on call sometimes, where nurses and other staff from the hospital can call him at home with questions.
hope that helps! : ]

In Killington, VT

And honestly, I'm not sure what type of doctor I'd like to be- I just know I definitely want to go into medicine. I'm actually training to volunteer as an EMT this summer, which should be a lot of fun and a great experience. Is anyone else here an EMT?

I'm in this for the long haul, I'm planning on being a surgeon. Crazy, I know, but hey, it's what I want to do, so no big deal. The one thing that sucks about wanting to be one though is that it's so hard to actually meet one when you go on hospital tours and stuff, because they are always so busy! But my mom's friend's daughter is going to medical school, so we are hoping to get a meeting with her some time soon.

I want to be an orthopaedic surgeon. I kind of grew up around it because. My dad is a PA for an orthopaedic sugeon. And I might actually interview an ortho surgeon for a career paper I'm doing for school. And I almost got to watch a hip surgery over feb vacation at the hospital my dad works at, but the head of the OR said no : /

I went to a medical camp last summer and got to watch 2 different surgeries. It was really cool because I want to be a surgeon.
