My whole high school is centered around health studies ... we are a health and life sciences high school, we've only been open for 3 years, so every year we add on a new class and next year we will have a whole school (9-12 grade). we do alot of job shadowing at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, and alot of health related field trips.

we do trips to nursing homes n stuff and there is some like help line they helped with kind of like a minor 911.

I live in orlando so our schools are big we have 3,500 kids at our school and the medical academy has like 150 students

curriculum:
our school also has a buisness academy so all our core classes(English, Bio, History etc)are medical buisness academy classes made of only academy students they arnt different the stay students. then for elective freshman year you take Latin 1(since medical terminology is latin based) and all MA health, sophmore is sports med MA only and Latin 2, Junior is MA Health science and other elective, and senior is free for all but u have advised electives like AP psyc
I am certified in 1st aid and CPR but that was in MS but the academy certifies u in CPR through sports med sophmore year

Hi !!
umm... yelp we have it designed so that we take all of our core high school classes during our freshmen and sophmore year so we can take college classes during our junior and senior year at a community college near by. But still as a senior and junior we have a few high school classes left. During our senior year we only have one class each semester at the high school and all of our other classes will be at the college. It is really cool... it has its goods and bads about it, but its a new school so... i guess thats alright. Smile

My school doesn't have anything like that, but there is a magnet school nearby for medicine. I'm jealous of them.

Thats what we had before in my school. Actually I am pretty sure you don't have forensic science. Is anatomy and physiology a class or is it something else??

Yes, it's a class. And what do you mean about forensic science? I'm pretty sure we do have it.

Hey Mike,
uh.. i see, why don't you just transfered? or you can do what i am doing and fix something. In many high schools around York there is a time where we don't do anything, so thats why we have clubs. the teachers can make clubs from flag football to medical sports and stuff, tell teachers about it and let it spread.
