WOW! Thanks for all of your responses!I'm definatly glad I brought up this topic!
Okay so where'd ya'll read that we had to wear blazers? thanks whomever said that because I hadn't read it anywhere and now I know!
Is anyone wearing heels with professional outfits or just flats? I'm completly confused about this!
And they need to post our dang schedule already it would make the shopping and packing process a whole lot loss aggravating!
about purses!: yes I'm bringing 1 or 2 or so! I love them! I need to get a small one that goes the chest so nothing gets stolen!

Hey!!!

Listen!!

all you girls need to go and read the dress code again because NO WHERE in it does it say "you must wear a blazer at all times" I have NO idea where you got it from but quit telling people the wrong things. DO NOT go out and buy blazers for every outfit.. that would be a waste of money. They are permitted but NOT REQUIRED!!!!!!!!!

the end.

Jordan: When I read the dress code it said that on days when we have to wear professional stuff we have to have a blazer with pants. But only with pants. On the more casual professional days we can just wear pants with a nice shirt.

The dress code says that they don't suggest wearing heels. We should bring flats because we'll be walking most of the time and it said some hospitals require close toed and close heeled shoes.

Smile
hope that helped.

Ok so this may be a stupid question, but it never says if we have to wear hose everyday. Do we?

Amanda: I would suggest it, if you're wearing a skirt. I was on my high school debate team, and they taught us that it was very important to wear skirts with hose. it just looks more professional.

from what i've heard (from people who have been in previous years) is that the whole blazer issue really depends on your group leader and how strict they are. so i don't really want to wear a blazer but i'm bringing one just in case. i really can't see us needing more than one or two of them though.

you can't find brown flats??!
anywhere??
i just saw a ton of brown flats at Aldo! & i think they are having a sale right now.

& 'Jordan17', we're all talking about wearing a jacket/blazer with pants because it specifically said slacks/dress pants with a jacket or blazer
i dont know..the way they worded it made it seem like if you wear dress pants you must wear a jacket with it.
which is lame.

SOMEONE PLEASE! Tell me where you guys are reading this? because on the website AND my packets it never says "wear a blazer/jacket with everything"

Just so no-one says anything, here is STRAIGHT from the website....

"Acceptable Professional Women's Attire (Do's)

Dresses, suits (either skirts or pants) or skirts with a blouse or sweater. Skirts may not be more than three inches above the knee.

At least one pair of dress shoes that are close-toed and close-heeled. "

but it says 'suits (either skirts or pants)' and suits include a blazer. i'm bringing one because it wouldn't be good if all these outfits i planned on don't work without one

I heard that with pants, you have to wear a blazer to make a suit. You can do this with a skirt if you want to, but a nice non-collared shirt with a nice professional skirt is just fine without a blazer.

But I agree...I am not too happy about us having to wear blazers. They make me feel old. lol

And I just got a pair of black ballet flats that look professional but are comfortable and not completely solid. Does anyone think that'd be ok for professional?? I was told that they have to be solid, and now I'm wondering if I should exchange them... Confused
