i think thats a great idea. i myself haven't the slightest bit of an idea of what we're supposed to know, but im willing to bet that the simulation involves US oil interests in the Gulf of Guinea, and a political disturbance in the Nigerian government that could result in either a diplomatic or militaristic resolution.

I think the US govenment should look into the issue of others energy methods because we will use up all the oil in the gulf and we will need to look for more oil and it will repeat the progress until there is no more oil in the world.
I think that alternative energy sources are good too, but will not be part of the simulation... i think were looking more at, ok we want to get the oil, how do we do this without creating TOO much trouble

That is why I am not that excited about it. I wish it could involve civilized conversation on how we can progress not only on the economy, but on the environment (through the use of renewable energy).
anybody see robin williams live on broadway? "i'm tellin you, someday cars are gonne be running on water, and guaranteed the prices of water bottles will skyrocket, so there will be these guys along the sides of roads, with their trunks popped open, saying 'hey, you, come here. i got water, you need water? how much you need? i got bottles, liters, gallons, what you want? and if you got enough money, i got icccceeee, mother fcuker'"

Macanudo, I feel for you. I'm going to be very uncomfortable saying "ok if we do this we can gte the oil" when I really want to say "ok but what about when we use up all this oil? what are we going to do then? shouldn't we be focused on that?"

personally, i'm considering acting on the spur of the moment, meaning no preparation whatsoever, because do you think the top gov't officials just happen to have the information on hand? absolutely not. personally, i think they shouldn't have told us what it was going to be about, but rather spring it on us as a surprise, and feed us information like a real time intelligence feed, therefore enhancing the realism of the scenario. but thats just my opinion. Plus, they dont change the scenario from session to session. i know 3-4 people that have attended, and the scenario was the same for all of them, so i know exactly what to expect, but i wont share what they've told me, lest they change a few things around this session, and get everyone mad at me.
