We have ISATs until 8th grade and Juniors have to take Prairie State Exams next week which means sophomores have only two days of actual school. yayay! anyways, savvy, i thought your "stupid history" class was interesting, but did you mean like you think it's stupid, bcuz that's what i thought when i made the comment about failing tests in my history class...
i have to agree with Sarah and Kate. Owned

history could quite possibly be the most pointless class ever made(no offense if anyone thinks different) I mean really, why would we need to know what happened in the 1920s or any other year? I could see history being useful if it were things that have happened within the last 5 or maybe 10 years, but not other than that. Oh.. and the whole "we have to learn from our mistakes" deal.. bullcrap. All the mistakes we really need to learn about we know about(ex. WWI and WWII).

anyways... now that I've done that rant... anything else new?

wow. ok, i agree.
anyways, i have a really wierd story to tell. I was watching TV last night and i saw what looked like a feather move from one side of the room to the other. i turned on the light and it was a house centipede!!!!!!!! it was so gross. i don't know if you have ever seen one before, but this was my first time. I was freaking out. i couldnt get myself to kill it. my dad had to. i usually don't mind bugs, but it was huge! like longer than an inch! i googled centipedes this morning and it turns out that they can climb on walls and ceilings! it bites and has (mild) venom too. on the other hand it kills other bugs, like cockroaches(maybe i should bring the next one i see to school.)

in conclusion, house centipedes are very icky. Big Grin

eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww that does sound a little gross, the other day we saw a huge spider in the hall at school and one of my friends almost had a panic attack since she has like serious arachnaphobia, but i've had no other bug encounters lately Smile

sooooooooo jealous, but sorry about the big bug problem, although I seem to be having one myself. At least yours is in a container...
As far as pets go, I only have two goldfish. They have been living in the kitchen for ten years now!

Does anyone have a job? Where do you work?

I would like to get a job b/c I need the money. Unfortunately I don't have the time or a car which makes it kind of hard.

I don't have a job yet either. I babysit now every couple weeks, but even that's hard with school and everything. This summer I'll probably be a life guard or do something else...I wish I had a car...

Hi, wanted to introduce myself. I'm going to Chicago 2nd session. Name Timmy Jake, have 2 dogs and a cat, doing work for my PaPa to earn money for this trip. Mending fences, baling hay, tending to cows, etc... Hope to meet you all this summer. I'm from Louisiana. This will be my first big trip on my own. Really looking forward to it. Do any of you know if we'll be seeing some of Chicago other than the hospitals and stuff while we're there?

I'm not sure if we'll be doing a lot of sightseeing. You could ask the Alumni on one of the other topics.

What grade are you in Timmy?
