For day one, you arrive in casual. If memory serves, you will have to change into professional garb after registration. I brought a MasterCard "gift-card", meaning it was a temporary debit account. I probably spent $200 of my $400. Bring both--some places might not let you use the card.

EDIT: So I could sleep the night, I actually talked on the phone for about two hours. The person I talked to relaxed me and tired me enough that I could have a full night of sleep. Make sure you take a shower before you leave--if you are running late or your roommates are early, you likely won't get a chance. I took my shower on Sunday morning--I left for the airport at 9AM or so, after church.

There is an ATM in the hotel and in the food court, iirc. Also, there are ATMs scattered around the site-visits and what-not. I suggest $100 cash.

For those who are sent to Ben Taub General Hospital, look for an Asian guy in the emergency center wearing a "Cal" sweatshirt.

I'll say hi. Smile
