all my money went to getting me into this. what little i have left is being spent on Theatre Workshops, mostly singing and stage combat because were doing a musical at THS this upcoming year. no vacations for me till christmas then its off to Colorado with grandparents and go snowboarding

in chapter 2 he discussed light being a constant speed and i was a little off in my description of time being relative to motion, heres his description "The rate of ticking becomes slower and slower as the relative speed increases. This is an intrinsic property of time and not dependent on the means used to measure it. Tm = Ts/sqrt(1-v2/c2). In real life, high speed muons appear to disintegrate slower that those at low speed, though they experience the same amount of life. Each observer experiences that the other's clock is running slower ".
i used "The World in a Nutshell" by Hawking to do background on each page so i could understand it better, i think it confused me even more though.. george and gracie float past each other, each beleives themselves to be stationary and beleives the other to be moving past them at 5mph. and yeah chapter 13 was on black holes (Bekenstein-Hawking entropy) but was exploring M-Theory mostly..

lol. I just find it rather amusing that this is the most (for a lack of a better word) intelligent conversation I've had all summer and I don't even know you. By the way, I also have "The Fabric of the Cosmos" but I've only managed to read a couple of chapters. The peculiar thing is, I abhor studying physics, yet I still enjoy reading all these baffling theories about the microscopic/macroscopic worlds of physics.

Anyways... enough about physics. lol.
How is everyone celebrating the 4th of July?

It's also by Brian Greene. I suppose it's sort of a sequel to "The Elegant Universe".

My idiotic neighbors started the celebration early this morning... at 3 AM. That was not pleasant at all, lol.

Hello everyone! I'm looking forward to Sunday! Just to let you guys know if you didn't already: It's been raining quite a lot in Houston these days, but it's on and off... well at least around my area! So it's not a bad idea to bring an umbrella just to be safe. =]

Woo hoo!!!!!! Schedule finally up--now if only they had the dress code for every event/day.... that would be helpful since I'm currently packing.

Quick question: does anyone know if black jeans can be part of the relaxed-pro. outfit? I don't particularly want to iron a second pair of khakis if I don't have to.

I asked someone a few minutes ago, and he thinks that relaxed-pro can include black jeans... I'll go and ask on the Alumni forum...

Well I'm packing right now, I'm a really bad procrastinator. As for tomorrow, it looks like I have a six hour drive from Oklahoma City to Houston.

Same here! I'm too eager! Umm... I'm not sure how I'm getting there yet. lol. Either my parents are driving me, or I have to drive myself if nobody can pick me up on the 17th.
