Hey is anyone else going to LA session 3?

I'm so jealous! I went last year and it was amazing! have so much fun! and a little advise about this thing... last year like 20 people posted the night before so dont get too sad if you dont get much feedback this early!!!!

Wow, my favorite part...

Well I went with one of my friends from school. We rode from North Carolina to California. It was our first time flying alone! So much fun.

Well I took WAYYY too much stuff. 4 suitcases. yeah dont do it! I had to give my friend my purse and she walked off before I got my stuff so she had my money, ID, cell phone, all my NYLF info, EVERYTHING. I found her 2 hours later. 2 hours. my mom had called me 16 times. she almost called UCLA like freaking out!

The beach was so much fun. You will love it. The water is freezing but the beach is amazing. The shopping is even better. Me and one of my friends went crazy while shopping and got lost from all our guys and half the girls. So we decided to go to victorias secret and go all out and buy really "cute" things then we met back up with our friends and all the guys were like... uhhh why couldnt we have come?!?! haha they begged us ALL DAY to see what we had bought! we finally showed them HAHA but it was so much fun.

Then Universal Studios that was fun too! We spent half the time on the rides then about 20 or 30 of our friends ALL went to see John Tucker Must Die! We ate Churros and waited in lines for hours just hanging out and playing around. I think we rode 3 rides. at the most! haha but its was just fun walking around the entire place. We did get these free bags because this guy told us he needed to make his quota or he would be fired! we had to tell them we were in college! haha

My roomie was amazing too! She was so sweet and she was in a different group than me so when I was sick of my friend from home I hung out with my roomie and her friends. Their group was in a rivalry with another med group so we always were at war with them. One time we put eggs and foods that rotted under the table in their rivals room so it would stink! We also saw Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi play tennis at the lexus open!

You can go swimming too! It was a lot of fun and we play some soccer game with one of the FAs by the pool.

The socials are fun too. All the other groups were all down and out about them but my group decided to make them fun so we all went and just started dancing(one of the FAs brought his iPod) soon everyone came and saw how much fun we were having that they had fun too!

There was a limbo contest one night and each night you got something free, like a tee shirt or water bottle. The food from the cafeteria is REALLY GOOD! i was surprised and the student commons is really nice. Its got Panda Express and Taco Bell and Jamba Juice. There is a shoe store in it as well as a surf shop type store. There is a school supplies store, electronics, and convience store where we bought tons of food and drinks and make up among other things.

The last night you go on a yacht ride around Marina del Rey for about 3 or 4 hours. The yacht has 4 stories. The top deck is just a quiet place to chill and watch the scenary. There are chairs and tables but not that many. The next level down is the dance floor. SO MUCH FUN. so much goes on its amazing. The next floor was the food floor. It was more for the drinks because you ate before the dance but there was some mexican appetizers available though. The last floor was a lounge with couches and elevator music for the those who didnt want to dance eat or freeze!

Well...I guess I've found the board for LA3...

Anyway, I'm Ding and I'll be attending the July 21-30 session in LA this summer.

Hmmm...wonder what it's gonna be like this year considering Emily's description about the '06 session. Cadavers anyone? Nawww... Lectures? Eh...probably...but I hope they'll be interesting considering this is supposed to be a MED forum.

Well, I guess I'll see you there Megan. And thanks for starting an LA Session 3 topic in the boards.

I kinda have like jobshadowed through my highschoolwith all different doctors in syracuse new york when i lived there, and then i got to stay at Rochester Tech for Empire State Games, it was soo much fun staying in the dorm rooms..i hope its like that when we all go.

and to answer rachael's question..my town is kinda small, so me and my friends usually only have each others houses to go to and sometimes its not enough so i like going to the beach or see whats happening in Orlando. I love it though, just because i get to travel somewhere.
