Hey I'm Courtney. I live in Medina, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland. I am super excited to be going this summer. I am really looking forward to meeting tons of other kids interested in law. It's still hard to say if it's the profession for me, but hey, I'll get to meet some really helpful people.

Hi. Not much. I think it's really funny that it's like five months before we go and we are like the only two interested. It makes us either really big dorks or the sweetest kids around. Are you worried about this being you're first trip east? I love to travel, but I have only been to D.C. once. What grade are you in? I'm a junior. Do you know anyone else who's going?

YA..lol I'm a little nervous since i'm going all the way the other end of the US not knowing anyone but o-well i'll meet new people! I'm a Freshman at Kentwood High School!

Cool. I've never been to Washington. I have been to California though. Is it really cold where you live? Last year it got so cold here we had to call off school.

Ya it can get cold....like a couple years ago we got snow and then it started to rain, but instead of melting the snow the rain just formed a layer of ice on the snow...It was really cool! last year we had like a whole week off from school because of snow conditions....and so they made us go to school during 3 days in spring break WHICH SUCKED but o-well. But other than a couple times a year it eaither rains like Noah is coming or the wind picks up really hard....last year we had so much wind thatwe were without power for 3 days and some were without power for like 2 weeks...lol all the sotres were shutting down and it was a mess.....And that's why i hate Washington I'd rather live anywhere but here....What's the weather like in Ohio?

It's like a love-hate relationship with the weather gods here. It stays autumn-like into December but we'll get like a storm that no ones expecting and everything will be out of whack. Then it stays like winter into March and everyone wants to pull their hair out. I don't ever remember having a blizzard or anything like that here and I've lived here all my life. I remember once we had snow into spring break and it was a huge storm, all the flights got cancelled so we had to cancel our trip to florida. Let me tell you I was cursing the weather gods that year. Im sure it's not all bad in Washington. What's fun to do there?

What's fun to do in Seattle? HMMMM lol we got EMP (Experience Music Project) we have an IMAX where 3-D movies are held.....We have this place called the Kent Station where there are restaurants and a movie theatre and shopping stores..it's like something you would see in california except just take away the warm air..hahaha.....and that's pretty much it....We don't have much so it's quite exciting and surprising to us when Seattle or Kent city is mentioned in a movie..lol like the Simpsons Movie or Grey's Anatomy

what fun places are in Medina?

Medina is pretty boring. We don't have any fun places to eat, just chains. We have a big movie theatre which is the busiest place in town on friday night. In CLeveland there's some cool things, like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I had never beent there until I went there with my exchange student this summer. We pretty much have to make our own fun, so my friends and I have movie nights pretty much every wwekend. We also don't have good high school sports so there's really no point to waste money on those. I love love LOVE Grey's Anatomy. But anyway, do you have fun things at your school to do?

My school has soooooo much fun stuff....i go to the largest school in Kent School District so when it comes too sports we are pretty good...We have the usual...Football, soccer, tennis, swimming, track, baseball, fastpitch, judo. We also have a lot of clubs like.....A.S.B, which i'm part of....We have *** straight alliance club, DECA, Conk crew, Key Club, FBLA and lots of others. We have a dance at least once a month and we have like Kent Idol, or like Mr. Kentwood, or the winter fashion show....o and we have drama club so ya that's about it for kentwood! what about ur school? there has to be some fun things to do.

Ya my school is kind of a drag. We have over 2500 kids enrolled and we barely win in any of the sports. We have really good tennis and track and cross country teams but outside of that, it's kind of limited. I have never heard of judo as a school sport. That's totally awesome. We have fun announcements if that counts. ha.
O P.S. I don't think anyone else will be interested for a while. It's cool though, eventually other kids will catch on that this is where it's at.

Hello, my name is Stefanie and I am going to the June 2008 Law Forum trip to Washinton D.C. I am from Greeley, Colorado. That's about a hour north of Denver. I go to Greeley Central High School and am co-captian of my debate team, in our concert choir, part of our thespian troope(for those that don't know, thespians are basically the theatre kids), and am really excited to go on this trip this summer!
Just to catch up on the previous conversations, we have some blizzards but because we live in Colorado there has to be about a foot of snow on the streets before they will call off school. My school seems to be a little smaller than Max's and a bigger than Courtney's. The only good sport's team we have is our boy's golf team...but we have an Art's Magnet program, so we're more of an theatre, dance, and art school and not an athletic powerhouse. You have to go to Greeley West High School for that.
Well, I've made a long enough reply for now. I'm very glad I found this site and now you two won't be the only ones on!

Hey everyone, I'm alex, and im a sophmore from cincinnati ohio. I can't wait to go to the forum and meet some awesome people. Catching up on the pervious conversation, by now we've usually had like 3 or 4 snowdays, but it was 65 yesterday which is horrible. I go to a school for gifted kids, and my graduating class is 3. My school, grades k-12, has 48 people. im the president of student government, and i play tennis and ski. We dont have any teams because most of the kids are incredibly uncoordinated and fail at sports. Its quite pathetic. In my free time i play a lot of video games, go to rock concerts, and hang out with my friends. Cincinnati is an incredibly boring city, and there's really nothing exciting to do here either.
