Honestly, I don't think either candidate is great, but I think Mccain is more focused on the wealthy, and Obama is helping the average american, through health care and tax cuts

I am just not big on the rich having to give away 78% (estimate) of their hard earned money for Sen. Obama's spending plans. I don't believe it'll help the "adverage americans" It seems like he is only helping the poor. Which is good and all but it is charity and chartiies should not be government run.

i see your point, but i think it's the government's job to help out it's citizens, if that's by taxing the wealthy (who can afford their taxes) then so be it

I think that that is the fundamental difference. I believe that fostering capitalism is the best way a government can "help out its citizens." I think a government's job is to "establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare, provide for the common defense and ensure the blessings of liberty..." (not an exact quote, just what i could remember) the "general welfare" in the Preamble does not refer to charity, instead it refers to things, such as interstates and a common currency, that everyone benefits from.

As for your girl friend, that's a difficult question, especially since we don't know how close you two are. I don't have any advice on what to give her, but make SURE that you wish her happy birthday FIRST TIME you see her.

and i truely believe that obama's plan wont even help out the poor .. if we do that to the rich and all the companies ... think about the ecconomy ... its going to be ruined .. because every thign is going to sky rocket in prices... america will seriously fall apart ... McCain has his faults .. but i truly believe he can take america outta this slump we are in. McCain has been through alot ... and i truly believe that obama will ruin our wonderful country.

i get what you're saying, but if the wealthy can afford to give a little bit more in taxes, and the poor don't have to be in debt in order to do their taxes, then i think that goes in line with your quote "common currency, that everyone benefits from."
