Hey Bill,
I'm glad you are considering NYLF as a way to spend your summer. It's an AMAZING opportunity, and you will not regret it.
I attended the forum in D.C. and I strongly encourage this to be your selection.
COLOR:RED]Pros[/COLOR]
-Housing at the University of Maryland: beautiful campus! The dorms are huge. They are suites and apartments, with approx. 5 people per apartment.
-Food is delish! If you don't like it, there is Chipotle, McDonalds, Noodles&Co, Starbucks, Panda Exp, ChickfilA, etc in walking distance.
-The buildings/classrooms are great.
-The speakers are amazing!
-Tour D.C... all museums, monuments, whitehouse...etc
-Best part: You are within one hour of America's BEST medical schools: Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Va. Commonwealth, etc... you will get to visit them, meet the dean of admissions, tour, talk to students, and even learn mini-lessons from them!
-You get to do awesome clinical rotations. I went to Inova Hospital in Fairfax and watched an ENTIRE live open heart surgery! AWESOME!
-The weather in D.C. in summer is beautiful EVERYDAY! Boston has a lot of showers.
-Closing night, you go on a dinner cruise, on an actual million dollar yacht, and have a wonderful dinner, an awesome dance (just like a club) and sail down the Potomac River into a sunset. it's perfect!
-The students are nice
-The faculty is marvelous
-Ice cream socials, 2 dances, courtyard parties...etc
Cons:
-D.C. is very hilly! There is A LOT of walking. I mean like 3 miles sometimes, maybe all uphill.

CHOOSE D.C. YOU WILL LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Not lying though, the walks are worth it! Plus, your calves will be muscle in no time, haha!
