Two questions:
1) How important is it to be up to date on medical news. I've been reading a little in the news, but not a lot. Is that bad? 2) My partents will be driving me to the forum site that I am going to. My mom seems to think that it would be okay for me to leave some clothes on hangers when bring them up to the dorm room. Is this going to be a hassle when bringing my lugage to the room? Also, do you do straight to the dorm room, or do you meet up in a big group somewhere with all your bags before going to your room? Thanks! |

First, you don't really need to know a whole lot, but it might be nice to at least have a clue. That's what you are there for, to learn...so don't sweat it! Second, if you fly in they put all your bags together and you pick them up after you check in. If you drive, well I don't really know. But it will be ok to just bring them on hangers and carry them up. |

bing up to date on medical things is not really tht important I didn't really read any thing and I was fine. I didn't drive buut my roommate did I she carried stuff up on hangers and you don't meet in a big group before you go to your room because everyone gets there at different times.

i didnt know anything and it wasnt a problem. if you have a hanging bag i would use that and just leave clothes on hangers in the bag. in atlanta, my mom and i parked, took my luggage on the shuttle to check in, and then brought my bags to my room (which was in the building right next to check in).

I just attened the SF July 3-12 forum and what happened for me was when I arrived at the campus I was staying at, there was a line to get the key to the rooms, so I had to wait in line to get my room key. Then I had to get into another line to sign in and get separated into smaller groups that I worked with for all 10 days. Then I met my Faculty Advisor when I went to my group I turned in the stuff they needed me to turn in, recieved some papers that I had to read, received some information and homework, and then got 2 books. Then after that little meeting with the FA, I finally got to go to my room and start unpacking and also start the homework. Throughout all that I was bringing my luggage around with me. When I got in my room and started to unpack, I realized that I shouldv'e brought some of my clothes with hangers, so that they wouldn't be as wrinkly and I would have more hangers to hang my clothes with. |

i would make sure you have a hanging bag because on the last day you put all your luggage in a central room and if you have random clothes theyre gonna get dirty and maybe taken

It's ok your journal is going to have all that you need. but you are going to have to read it at night so that your team doesnt' hurt you for not knowing anything. don't worry check in goes fast and if your driving you could bring your clothes in grocery bags for all anyone cares. have fun.
