My daughter recived a letter about the medical forum that's happening this summer and I have some questions. If I decide to have her participate who will be picking her up from the airport? Who will she be working with? Who will be supervising and how old are these supervisors? The Houston, TX seminar is said to be located at a hotel, will all the activites be at the hotel or will they be at other sites? If you or anyone can answer it would be appricated. Thank you in advance.

Parents,
I'm a junior who attended the forum in Atlanta this past summer. I do not know about the forum in Houston but I can answer your other questions. There are approximately 250 participants and about 20 chaperones. These chaperones also serve as group leaders. Ages range between about 22-30 with a few older chaperones. Most activities take place at the campus wit hthe exception of medical school and hospital visits. I am positive that if you choose to allow your child to participate in this forum, they will have a wonderful experience. I know that I did and I learned many valuable lessons from this. Also, if this is the first time your child has been away from home for a length of time , I can imagine you as well as your child are nervous, I know that my parents and I were. Know that they will have a wonderful time, make many new friends that will last a lifetime and gain knowledge of whether or not they want to pursue a career in that field. I hope this information is of some help to you.

hello parents, i second that. i attended the second session in chicago. if your child is interested in this, please allow them to go. this was not only the best 10 days of my life..so far..but the memories i made there i will never forget. i was only 15 when i went. how many 15 year olds can say they dissected a cadaver or got to shaddow a doctor? not many so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that shouldnt be passed up. and ignore the pricetag..although it is expensive...FUNDRAISE! that is what i regret the most...but i know what to do for next year! hope this helps!
