Yeah the live surgery is WAY cool! Last year it was a knee surgery but it was done via satellite. Not as fun but still amazing! Only thing is our connection kept gettin cut off so that added an extra hour to the whole process....lol and about half of the room fell asleep during it...not cuz it was boring but cuz the day before had been CRAZY and we didn't end up going to bed till about 4!! Haha yeah I fell asleep on one of the guys in my group and he fell asleep on me! Try and stay awake Smile

Not everyone gets to watch the surgery.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but very few people get to watch it.
If you get to, you're very lucky.
But last year everyone got to watch an autopsy.

Chelsea=] I don't know which session you went to! I went to session 3 last year in Atlanta, we weren't actually in an operating room but, we did watch a total knee replacement through a live broadcast! It was pretty cool!

it says that we get to see a knee replacement. but it probably wont be in the OR cause they couldnt put us all in one OR, so it will be through a TV.
i just watched a live spinal surgery a couple days ago and it was the most amazing thing of my life, so i hope we get to be in the room. but no one get their hopes up

We had the surgery. It was recorded for us cause we couldnt get the live feed so we were SOL on the live on.

It takes place in Ohio.

Well it depends on where you go for your clinical experience to hold organs. I didn't get to. My place was so boring!! I was so upset.

We saw a live knee replacement that took place in ohio. Its really cool. And better that being in the OR in some ways. If we were reallt in the OR, then we wouldn't have had such a great view and wouldn't have seen everything. But it was really great!!
