I think it depends on what hospital you choose to go to and what specialty you want to see! In the past they give you a schedule of all the things you can do choose from and you can decide some of the places you want to go!

During my forum I visited the Bayhealth Medical center in Delaware. We got to listen to multiple staff members from different areas of the hospital(pediatrics, OBGYN, reconstructive surgery, pathology, ect) then we got to draw different jobs and got to shadow the doctors while at work. I got respiratory therapy but switched with someone for pediatrics. so you shadow them for about an hour then we went back with everyone else and watched a colonoscopy and open heart surgery on the tv with a live feed.

I hate to rain on your parade but, not everyone gets to go to a hospital. Some will go to hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, etc.
