The schedule from last year says that there's check in until 5 and then we eat dinner from 5-6 and then there's an orientation thing where they welcome us.

What is parent hostility? DO we have some kind of parent meeting?

there cant really be a parent meeting i mean most of us are flyin to the places by ourselves.. it might just be for the parents who are driving their kids down tho

Okay. So when i got there it was around 3.
Me and my dad checked in. I got my room key. they sent me to my room to drop my stuff off, then i had to go get the info for my group and fill out the clinical choices form. Then i had time to explore the campus. But not for long cause i had to go change for dinner (professional). We went to an assembly thing. Finally we broke into our MED groups and went to our meeting place. Got back to our room by 10:30-11:00.

When I got there I did almost the same thing as Diamond. You really just hang out on campus until it's time to change 4 dinner

so if my parents drive me there, after checking in, they will have nothing to do right?

I didnt know anyone at NYLF Med, however your group doesnt either, So DONT FREAK OUT!!. Everyone is feeling the same way. By the 2nd or third day you'll feel at home.
