Hi everyone. I am Alexis from New Mexico, in a really small town called Edgewood (b/c it is where the trees randomly just stop and it is flat desert for like 100 miles no joke). I am 16 years old, but I will be 17 by the time the Forum comes around. My birthday is February 6th (excitment, throws confetti). I am a Republican. I am into playing bass guitar, doing Karate, Swing Dancing, Reading everything I can get my hands on, of course partying likea rockstar, and being totally retarded with my friends who are all on Myspace. Yeah and here is my Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/36989764
so yeah take a look and add me as a friend...ok well ttyl

Hey Alexis, nice to meet you. I took a backpacking trip in New Mexico two summers ago, really amazing place, there were some great views from up in the mountains.

Anyway, welcome!

Thats cool...where did you go in New Mexico? I am outside of Albuquerque in the East Mountains if it means anything to you...I have wanted to go to NewYork since I was a little girl but my parents could never afford it. Washington DCis close enough for me. New Mexico is really pretty if you are all into nature and being outside it is gorgeous but there is seriously nothing else to do out here.Me and my friends go hikning and camping sometimes but sleeping on the hard ground, and eating burnt food gets old and we always end up in a hotel...lol good times...anyway ttyl

I was in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, which I think is north east of Albuquerue. The closest town to us was Cimarron if that means anything. It was a really cool trip for us.

Then again I guess you see the mountains the same way we see the city, it's always been there so it's nothing too thrilling. Big Grin

Well I hope you get to visit NYC sometime, but in the meantime, see you in Washington!

Hey Jeremy! Welcome to the forums. You're almost an eagle scout? THat's cool. I have a friend who is an eagle scout and several others attempting to reach that level.
Hmm. gylc...What does that stand for? I obviously haven't done it. ;-) But yeah, I might have gotten invited to it, since I'm getting way too many invitations to conferences like these.

Global Young Leaders Confrence I highly suggest it. yeah. You will all deff will see me on the first day. Also Im liberal but I personally dont care and I have no reason why I am telling you this. I think that we shouldnt judge or base anybody by what they are and what views they have. Im not trying to be mean here.

Well, I say we shouldn't judge people by what views they have. But why who they are. Big Grin And even then, we hsouldn't judge. But opinions of people will be formed by who they are. . .and if their views affect that much(Which they undoubtedly will) then in a sense. . .we do judge people by what views that have. But I wont' go into that now.
Leave it to say, you may be liberal, I may be conservative. . .but that doesn't mean I automatically dislike you. follow me here? It's who you are, not what you think about issues that makes that decision. anyway. . .

What do you mean by your liberal and you personally don't care? That you personally don't care that you ARE liberal or that you don't care what I am or Erin is or Alexis? Didn't quite get that one. . .;-)

Really looking forward to meeting you and the others. I think I did get invited to a GYLC, just fyi. Good, glad you highly reccomend it. I'll look into it. I don't think I'll be going to another one of these this year though, my sister deserves to go to one, and the money will go to her.

Hey Jeremy. I'm working towards Eagle too, but I still have to buckle down and finish all my boring badges.

Anyway, I hope to see you there... only a few weeks away. Cool
