I'll give it a shot....

Well, you are economically leftist, I guess you could use the word socialist. Socially you believe in a government that for the most part tries to give people freedom, but you probably have one or two strong views contrary to total civil liberty.

Check what historical figures you landed near and that should give you a better idea than I can make up. Wink

Enmanual and Allen, Welcome!Nice to meet you all.

Enmanual, what Nick's Name said about your results is probably correct. It's kind of like the political/social leanings. Are your more right or more left? Plus as he says, if you look at this historical figures it gives you a better idea. I reccomend taking two-three times just to see how much the compass fluctuates between turns.

Cool to meet you guys! looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks here. . .

Nice to meet you Enmanual and Allen.

I'm a little behind the times. I don't even know what the political compass is.

Awaiting to meet you all.

Yeah, woohoo! I'm actually beginning to get semi-excited about this trip now. I got all my shopping done. . airplane tickets just have to be confirmed. . .and I did my research. . .I'm catching up in school. :--) So it looks like the trip will be a reality after all.

Anyway, sorry to but into the conversation. HOw are everyone elses' travel arrangements and all that going? School? Speaking of which, since you guys are normal schooled, are you going to have work doubletime when you get back? Or are you bringing loads of homework? how does all that work?

Hey Guys,
Yeah so we are really close to going to Washington D.C and I cannot wait either. I got my stuff bought and research done to. KateC-, I got that whole week off (Winter Break)...no make up work for me!! I do have one problem, due to the fact that my dad works for Delta, Its hard for me to turn in my flight arrangement sheet to NYLF 2 weeks in advance due to the fact that I fly stand by and don't know what flights are open that far in advance. I'm going to call them when I get home from school today and ask them about it.
Cant wait to see all yall...I need to get on here more often now so I can meet as many of all as I can before we head up there.

I'm off the week of the trip too, though I am on another trip the week before so I'm missing a week of school anyway. :P

Anyway, I think my flight is at 11AM from LaGuardia and I should be getting to DC around noon.

Yeah, that's true. One of my online schools gives that week off for Winter Break, so I'm lucky for that, but my other online school doesn't. ohwell. Wow, two trips, Nick's Name! fun, fun. :-)

Daniel, I know what you mean about the flights and travel plans. I am still making/finalizing my travel plans to/from the hotel. I am kind of, as you said, waiting and seeing who can take me. My flight gets in 4 days early, but then some friends will be taking me there. But I still don't know who's picking me up and I can't figure that out until I get there. oh well.

What's your dad's job with Delta?

LaGuardia is in New York, Nick's name?

Oh. . .one other thing. Did you guys hear anything about having to reserve the shuttle that leaves to the airport on sunday ahead of time? I've been trying to figure that out, but haven't heard anything from the Office of Admissions yet. Perhaps I should just call them. Email doesn't work as well. But I really do not want to call long-distance. . .

btw, other random question, Nick's Name, is your name Nick? ;--P

I don't think the reality of me leaving Oregon has quite hit me yet.

But my airplane tickets are secured and what little I could do to prepare myself is done, well its ongoing. But I have no idea what I'm going to take with me as far as clothes, I have to go through my closet and see what nice clothes fit.

I have school all that week but they're easy classes. Probably easy to makeup cept my English and by Global Studies classes. We're reading Macbeth in English but in Global I think I'm going to be able to write a paper about the trip and be excused from all other work.

1. Yeah, two trips in a row is going to be a ton of fun, I'm really excited. Big Grin

2. Yes, LaGuardia is in New York.

3. Yes, my name is Nick. Thus my forum name is Nick's name. Get it? It's a bad pun, don't laugh, it seemed like a good idea at the time. :P

And finally 4. I don't thik the shuttle needs to be reserved, from what I could gather it seems to just leave every hour or so.

Can't wait to meet you all, I think this is going to be a blast.

Nick, you'll be dead by the second trip. . . ;--)

I figured your screen name was something like that. . .but I didn't know if you made it Nick's Name in order to make us confused, if you name was really Bob or something. who knows? People are often tricksy like that. . .:-) But my name is quite obviously Kate. Not Kate-see, like Katesy or anything. :P

Okay. I hope it leaves every hour or so, starting at 10:00 AM, sunday.

Jaime, are you talking about site selections? You can access that off of your DID login page.

Blondeclimber--sounds cool about your classes. English is fun. Macbeth is really fun. Well, any Shakespeare is interesting. Do you like Shakespeare or not really? Yeah, hopefully you'll get excused.

12 days until I fly out. . .

Hey Kate, I'm hoping that I get excused from everything at school. I'm reading Banquo from Macbeth which is kinda interesting cuz for the 1st time in my life I understand the old english a little but I've never been fond of Shakespeare.

Shane2007, I arrive at DFW at 5:17am on the 21st and leave for DC at 6:55am. Hope to maybe see you there. Bang

Wow now that is a important job! Especially for airplanes.
no, I'm not going to visit my representative. It's actually a tad amusing because I live in Turkey, my home in the states is in DC, I'm a legal resident of North Carolina, but I was asked to represent Connecticut. :-D Long story. .. But no, I'm not.

Okay, Blondeclimber.I was just wondering since i'm a shakespeare fanatic. :-) But glad you're finding it interesting.

See yall in 1 week!! WOOHOO.

Hi guys
Gosh I have super hard classes at school right now and I dont get any time off school. I have to double book it this week, probably while I am gone, and then probably more when I get back....bummer for sure.....
My flight leaves NM so early and then I have like 80 minutes in Dallas-Fort Worth. And then I go to Washington. that will be good so I can get alot of homework done. I think I may be flying with you guys though because I will be leaving dfw about 2 also. I will look for you. I have a bright pink backpack and probably a black leather bag with me.
Gosh I am so so so so excited to go and meet all of you, see you in like less than a week....
Luv ya,
~Alexis~
