omg.....I'm floored. I don't know where to start Jayhawker. have you honestly seen any statistics lately, aside from those released by the White House and related Departments, Sub-divisions etc?.

He claims to have created jobs, which is true, he has....overseas. all out basic industiral base jobs are being outsourced in the name of big business and capitalism... and the economy? we had a federal surplus when clinton left, of almost 500 billion, now its too low to count! (see the recent time magazine issue). He's constantly diverted public attention to social issues as to detract from his outrageous economic plans. the House recently, at bush's proposal, cut Federal Aid for college bound teens. that was on C-SPAN. dude, i respectfully disagree with basically everything.

no, i excluded hillary and boners lol but bush created the downfall (which is still going down) and then used social issues to cover up his big business subsidies, tax cuts, etc. he's created this economy and every stat i've seen proves the former true. GDP, per capita income, middle class incomes, exports, it was all on the rise. Bush wacked it (pardon the pun), covered it up, and blamed it on us, the people's party.

not explicitly, but there are always periods of natural economic slump every other decade or two. look at the recession during the late 1800s. the slump during the 1870s and again from 1893 to 1897. thats the free market, since we live in a lassiez faire society, the market manages itself. so Bush inhertied a small slump but he took it to extragavagent proportions, you have to admit that. over 250 Billion in military operations in Iraq (almost 1bil a week) and another 280billion of so in reconstruction aid. (i won't get started on his response to the hurricanes) but billions went there too, he asked congress for another 70 billion for Iraq to cont. operations through september. his tax cuts have sky-rocketed the poverty level as the middle class is paying for those cuts going to uber-rich industrial warlords. i could go on but he's done so much i wouldn't have any life left

PREACH ON BROTHA! alright me and FPOTUS are definitely like minded. And me and Jayhawker are in the same boat when it comes to Hilary and boners. One more thing, didn't Reagan leave office with roughly three trillion more dollars than before. Sure he beat the commies but lets not forget the economy. So I guess Bush is a little like Reagan, strong on social issues, shitty when it comes to money (I guess the Rangers learned that one).

Lol at Bush getting blamed for the hurricanes. And you would have been one of the people that didn't want to build europe after WW2.. We have all seen how that worked out.

roflmao thanks for the supprt black_cow. and imust agree, Reagan and Bush are similar, but i think Bush is more clear cut on his economic objectives. i mean, if we remember his SoU, he wanted more budget cuts: heres the result http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/02/budgetcuts.ap/index.html
and again
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/02/congress.taxes.ap/index.html
these are clear republican examples of unification on their economic platform and beligerant disregard for middle class, working families and dependents.

Okay Lincoln I'll give you, as a civil war buff, Lincoln would be top of my list. But Lincoln was lightweight democratic favored, strong union, not strong states. Next has to be FDR no question. How you have Nixon ahead of FDR is unbelievable to me. (You do know we lost Veitnam right? Smile just messin with you). Anyway for a third I like JFK (because their names are so easy to type. But JFK for what he did in advancing Cuba, space, and the U.S (although he could have helped civil rights a little more). Plus JFK was a pimp.

*Note* I'm wodering how many people know the term lightweight as slang. Here on the West coast we use it to mean a little bit, kinda, sorta that kind of thing. Has anyone else heard/used that, or am I just trapped in the Bay Area bubble and don't realize everyone knows it?

Reagen and Nixon. Its called a little thing called Watergate! just like the Plaine leak, and the Phillipinno who stole White House documents, and the civil spying, and Libby, Nixons administration showed the first signs of Republican corruption. Reagan was decent but compared to Jackson,Washington,FDR, Reagan and Nixon have nothing. nothing.

I would have said Jackson cause you know we share names and he gave birth to the democrats, but then you gotta think about the Indians, excuse me, native americans. I mean he ****** them up.

usually when we say lightweight we are talking about either drinking or smokeing and not being able to handle a whole lot here in kansas.

But Nixon didn't start the vietnam war.. I believe your boy JFK had a little something to do with that. FDR was just the right guy at the right time. If he would have been elected when hoover was first elected we would have been FDR who? I think we are forgetting about the first and better Roosevelt here... amIrite. As a hunter anyway I appreciate what he did and all.

Nixon tho.. wow what a man!!!

So he had some good lines. So did Clinton (I did not have a sexual affair...... that was hilarious, and I'm a democrat). But doesn't change the fact that he lied to the nation would have been kicked out by the hippies. And your right FDR was the right man at the right time, but how do you explain four terms? (seems the republicans then passed a law to prevent that again didn't they?) and JFK didn't start the Veitnam War, Eisenhower (another one of your parties presidents) did by sending "military advisors" to the South.

And yeah the first roosevelt was a beast, but look at his competition. Taft?

Vietnam was in response to the Cold War, which got hyped by ur party and had evolved on its own after the Cold War. but Watergate wassn't a joke, it was what should have been ur parties end. and black_cow's got it right, nixon may have had some good lines, but would have been the first president in history to be successfully impeached. I wish i could say the same for Bush, but he's got Rove
