Some of my teachers are fine with the trip, but some were really unhappy. One got onto me about their class being core and how I should have opted to go in the spring. I was tempted to tell them I had two core classed in the spring as well, one of which is precalculus and I'm horrible at math, but I kept my mouth shut. I'll miss a couple days in the spring semester for some competitions so I'll be ok.
only one of my teachers was mad and that was my history of the americas teacher...she says that I cannot afford to be missing school becuase we are preparing for the IB exam at the end of the year
Steven ricke here and i'll be attending the nov 14-19 time period. uh... anybody here actually not care about school. i'm seeing some people act nervous about missing 4 days. two words.... explitive school. most of it is a waste of time and i'm excited about going to washington and missing school. i also get to go to new york next week and that is going to be fun. i love to travel.
I practice Taekwondo and Capoeira...and I really enjoy them both....it's my way of venting my stress...I am also a Boy Scout and I am practically an Eagle Scout..all I need is to finish one community service project. Also, I play water polo--which is the best sport in the universe!!!(after taekwondo)..Haha...I am in my schools varsity team. However, that doesn't start until spring.
I do speech and debate for fun. It is practically my life. I put off homework to write speeches. It just has this calming effect on me, but prior to a competition I just want to cry like now because I still have eight speeches to write and the competition is Sat. I also have two tests tomorrow that if I don't study for them I will fail. I also read, write, draw, and dance for fun and hang out with my friends. I listed clubs earlier and those are all for fun.
I love it! I compete in a lot of different events...I'm in the NFL actually. I am in the process of writing a speech for the Original Oratory event. It's a lot of fun...even though sometimes some events can get a bit tedious.
Heyyy guys I'm Ashley. I'm from Ohio and i will be attending this week. i play varsity tennis and swimming and i jus like to go out and have a good time, im really excited for this!

Cool, Mr. Perfect. I am actually competing at Bob Jones tomorrow. I mostly compete in Congress, but I've also placed in kiddie lit and competed in humerous interp. at districts.
i'm getting pretty excited for this trip. i just looked at the calendar and realized its coming up pretty fast.
but anyway i'm on the swim team and track team at my high school. our school doesn't have any form of debate team or anything, but my business law class is trying to get one started, mainly myself and my teacher. i can't wait for this its going to be so much fun!

My school doesn't have debate etc. either. gotta love hick towns. i used to run, but now i'm totally dedicated to anything involving music. i play trombone, trumpet, sax, and french horn (more on the way) in concert, marching, jazz, and pit band. i teach a children's choir, and sing in an adult. and i'm also pretty excited about this. i just gave my teachers the 2 wk notice (i'm going down to dc the weekend before to do college visits).
hey everyone...Im sarah and im going to be attending during the week nov.14th-19th, looking forward to meeting all of you and Im sure we are going to have a blast.

Yay for music geeks and band nerds. glad I'm not the only one. I take fundamentals this year, AP theory next year, and a whole bunch of independent studies both years (learning how to play other instruments, conducting, etc)
